Practical Life Activities develop foundation skills for all other work your child will do in the classroom. These introductory activities include food preparation, self-care, care for the environment, and exercises to develop grace and courtesy. They also provide a preparation for art and craft, by developing your child's creativity and imagination. Table washing, pouring, threading and painting promote the development important qualities of concentration, co-ordination, independence and order.

Cleaning equipment, like mops and brooms and brushes let younger children discover simple practical life skills. And they understand concepts like 'the importance of working together to get a job done'.  The children also enjoy cooking. Baking not only creates delicious cookies, it also lets young minds understand the importance of approaching any activity in a logical, sequential way.
