Sensorial Activities

Sensorial Activities help children develop an understanding of order and pattern, these are necessary for the foundation of the mathematical mind. These activities also help refine children’s ability to better observe and appreciate their world. They'll learn to discriminate order, size, shape, colour, sound, texture and smell.

Children enjoy working with the pre maths materials: the Broad Stair (pictured), the Pink Tower, Long Rods and a variety of Cylinders. Used individually or combined, these materials provide infinite possibilities for creative use and develop the understanding of base ten and the pattern and order necessary for the development of the mathematical mind.
