Lois was appointed Principal of Capital Montessori in March 2001, and has been teaching Montessori since 1979. She had her own Montessori school in Paraparaumu for many years before joining Capital Montessori. Lois is also a tutor and examiner for the Aperfield Montessori teacher training programme. Originally Lois trained and practiced as a nurse and practiced in Wellington Hospital’s neuro-surgical unit until 1987, when she decided to focus entirely on Montessori teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood Education teaching and a diploma from St Nicholas Montessori Training School, London.
