Tracey Hickisey - Joint Head of Fernlea

Tracey’s experience in the early childhood sector includes nannying, childcare, kindergarten teaching and special needs care. She’s passionate about providing children with a ‘prepared environment’ that supports spontaneous, independent and purposeful work. Her other teaching interests include music and movement, arts and craft, gross motor development and caring for the environment. She has completed an AMI Montessori Assistants course, Bachelor of Education, Diploma of Teaching - Early Childhood Education, she’s a fully registered teacher. Tracey also holds Certificates in Supervisory Management. She attends a wide range of Montessori and early childhood courses to make sure she is right up to date with pedagogy and professional practice. Tracey is currently taking a Diploma in Montessori Education as part of her professional development. Her personal interests are the arts, travel, embroidery, reading and seeing the lighter side of life!
