Anita Vishvanath - Teacher, Fernlea

“I’ve enjoyed working with children for many years, and love the structure of a Montessori setting”

Anita was an undergraduate in India. Since then she has worked as a Kindergarten teacher, in India, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, where she and her family lived for twenty years. After coming to New Zealand she worked in early childhood learning for five years before undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Early childhood Education at Victoria University, which she completed in 2008. Anita has been keen on working in Montessori education for many years, and fulfilled this goal when she joined Capital Montessori School in January 2009. Anita is also a fine artist and has exhibited her superb oil paintings in Bahrain. She also enjoys music, cooking, knitting, crochet and sewing.
