Capital Montessori School is a not-for-profit, parent co-operative run by a Principal and an elected Board of parents. We try to keep fees as low as possible to enable more children and families to be part of our community and access quality early childhood education.
Our preschool hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 1pm or 3pm. We follow the NZ primary school terms (four each year, approximately 10 weeks per term) and we also offer an optional holiday programme (for enrolled children) in the two-week breaks between terms 1, 2 and 3. We are closed for the summer holiday break, reopening for Term 1 in late January/early February.
The School offers 20 Hours ECE with a flat fee of $750 charged per term (around 10 weeks) for hours over and above the 20 free hours. There is a small additional fee (currently $15 per day) for school holiday attendance.
We offer a discount to families who pay their fees for the full calendar year (6%) or two terms (3%) in advance.
There is a registration fee of $50 (per family) to reserve a place for your child, and cover administration/membership of the Capital Montessori School Inc. Society. No registration fee is payable for Rata playgroup families. A bond of $375 is required to confirm enrolment (two terms before your child's start date). This bond is refundable in your child's final term, but is non-refundable if your child does not take up their place.
Assistance with paying fees for 3 and 4 year olds may be available through the Childcare Subsidy offered by Work & Income New Zealand (WINZ).
Infant & Toddler Playgroup
Fees for Rata Infant & Toddler sessions are $80 per family, per term. Families can attend one or more sessions each week.
At Capital Montessori we believe children who have access to a Montessori preschool education get the very best start on their learning journey. As part of our commitment to giving more children and their families the opportunity to access Montessori we offer a scholarship programme. Each scholarship covers 100% of the annual enrolment fees, for each year of the three-year programme.
Applications for 2018 have now closed.
